Live your best life - I’ve got your back.

CHIROPRACTIC TRUTHS

01 — The spine is the heart of the body.

The spine houses, protects, and communicates with the spinal cord. The spinal cord makes up a portion of the nervous system. The nervous system controls and coordinates all of the organs and structures of the human body.  It means it allows you to move, breathe, digest food, laugh, and repair and defend your body.

02 — We’re not just cracking you up.

There is so much more that goes into a chiropractic treatment than just the popping sound you may hear. Manual adjustments are often accompanied by a cracking or popping noise, which we refer to as a cavitation. A cavitation is a result of small small pockets of air, which are in the fluid that surrounds your joints. These air pockets sometimes pop during your adjustment, creating the sound you may hear.

03 — I’ve got your back - don’t worry, it’s safe with me.

Chiropractic treatments have been found to be safe and effective means of alleviating pain.

DON’T LET PAIN HOLD YOU BACK.

frequently asked questions

What do chiropractors treat?

We treat pain in the whole body - not just the back. From headaches to foot pain, chiropractic treatments will get you on your way to moving better and feeling better. Along with manual adjustments, I’ll be able to guide your recovery by prescribing therapeutic exercise, nutritional counselling, and recommend rehabilitation and injury prevention strategies.

When should I see a chiropractor?

Contact me if you’re experiencing pain, stiffness, or if your body feels like it’s slowing you down. I can help.

What is an adjustment? Is it painful?

An adjustment is the application of a highly skilled, and precise low amplitude thrust usually applied quickly by hand. An adjustment is beyond just ‘cracking your back’, but about recalibrating your body’s dysfunctional responses to life’s stresses. Receiving and adjustments is typically not painful, but it can be accompanied by a cavitation (the crack or pop sound). If you’re nervous about the adjustment being painful communicate this to your chiropractor during your appointment.

What should I expect on my first visit?

Expect to be met with joy and an open mind. I’m here to help you feel better, and I’ll be sure to give you all the space you need to share what you’re experiencing in your body. Watch the video below to get a good idea of what happens after you make that first appointment.

Do I need a referral to make an appointment with you?

No! While I am a qualified Doctor, you don’t need a special referral to make an appointment. It is always best to check with your personal insurance to see what they require for coverage.

How long will I need to see a chiropractor for?

I would love to see all my patients continue care as the goal is to optimize your health and wellbeing. However, care only continues if you choose to participate in care. Continuous care will be determined by the specific physical, emotional, and environmental stressors in your life - all of which differ from person to person.
